Frosted window film can do an amazing change if you know exactly how to use them.

A simple change, such as the addition of frosted window film can change the role and appearance of this important, but often forgot about room.

Due to hectic schedules, families rarely have time to sit down for a formal dinner each night.

Still, we keep the mahogany table there, often being nothing more than a piece of museum furniture. The traditional may no longer be function in today’s dining room, but what does work?

Break the rules of traditional design.

Instead, think multi-functional, make a style statement and think contemporary. Make your dining room functional again.

Are you ready for a design challenge?

If so, here are four creative, yet simple ways to redecorate dinning room tables and chairs.

1. Make A Multi-Functional Space:

Many families eat their dinners in the kitchen, often leaving the dining room for social gatherings only.

The cure?

Recreate the space.

Get started by opting for a table with adjustable leaves. For sit-down dinners, you can insert the extensions and enjoy the extra space. For formal gatherings, keep the table small, giving you more floor space.

If there is extra space in your dining room, add a desk or a chair. Make full use of your dining room by creating a reading corner or home office. While you are at it, add frosted window glass to a nearby window for privacy.

2. Replace The Table:

Although replacing a dining room table can be expensive, it is a wise decision.

Opting for a modern and contemporary table can make a world of difference, in a positive way. Most homeowners opt for traditional wood, but do not think traditional. Instead, opt for living grass, while oak, glass or marble.

3. Mix-Up The Chairs:

You have a traditional dining room set with matching chairs, but you don’t have to use them.

In fact, you should not; spice it up a bit.

While not required, look for an ongoing theme or design. Try matching different sizes. For example, mix single seats with a bench seating. Mixing and matching chairs is okay, but opt for chairs that flow well together to prevent the “I just tossed it together look”. You can find affordable chairs at yard sales, estate sales and thrift stores.

4. Update The Linens:

For a simple and affordable fix that results in an immediate makeover, change your table linens.

You may be surprised with the wow factor that a simple tablecloth, napkins, or placemats create. Do not forget, for a new look and added privacy, considered frosted window film.
